Rubato studio flowers preservation allows you to create a keepsake for your wedding, anniversary, birth, memorial or any special occasion 💐

Flowers remain vibrant and retain their whiteness through our own absorbing sheets, fine sand and various equipment. We then embed then in an art frame, dish, fountain pen (on our shop!), trinket box, or resin block.

Resin:

As handmade fountain pen makers, our our priority is to create bubble free resin. Clear resin must be produced via vacuum and pressure chambers and it must be done with experience. Our products are all on the smaller side, and we think the final products will serve as a suitable gift to cherish all of your loving family and connections.

Quick choice:

The easy and quickest method of flower preservation is pressing. Particularly, installation in a frame. Also in a small resin casting.

Natural drying vs Rubato’s method

Rubato ensures that already damaged flowers remain intact. We take good care of bruised petals. Our process uses vacuum drying and moisture absorbing sheets to avoid oxidation. (Dry flowers photos below!) Note that without these, after pressing flowers and leaves naturally produce ethylene gas as they age, a chemical that results in browning and shrinkage of the petals. Called natural drying, it is the same process that causes red leaf litter to turn brown in autumn, and occurs even with pressed boards. We also preserve berry hues, something other studios often can't manage.

Frame and seal:

We use only the best glue for flowers, and recommend vacuum-sealable frames so as to prevent white roses from dulling.

Species:

Customers can consult us for preferable flower species for preservation in advance. Adding herbs often enhances the forever arrangement. Add-ons are always available.
