My new and eccentric pen ideas came from years of experience in pressed flowers, calligraphy, woodturning and other handcrafting. All pens on this shop are produced by myself, Ruri, right here in California. I've always loved G nibs and Hunt 101 for pointed pen calligraphy but experimenting with the Schmidt M created a whole new world of possibilities!

I purchased my own lathe after joining the Nor Cal woodturner's club. They kindly taught me how to turn handmade wood bowls! There were countless woodworking tools I've never heard of. After a long process of googling, ordering, waiting for another drill bit, tap & die, and over 1000 pen blanks later, I've reached the point where I can produce my own shimmery ombre resin blanks to turn into pens.
Btw, I always make sure to listen to Led Zeppelin 70's lives when I’m at work on a lathe. They run for 3-4 hours. Thank you LZ.
